At Iris Photography AU, this isn’t just a job — it’s a passion. We’re a small, independently run in Sydney, Australia, where every session is personal, thoughtful, and rooted in a genuine love for art and human connection.
What we do is simple, but powerful: we capture the intricate beauty of your iris — the colours, patterns, and textures that make it completely yours — and turn it into a work of art. Using specialised macro photography and gentle editing, we reveal the stunning details of your eye and preserve them in a way you’ve never seen before.
Whether you come alone, with a partner, or with your whole family, we create artwork that feels meaningful — a keepsake that reflects who you are. You can choose from simple single-eye prints, artistic “collision” pieces for couples, family collages, or digital files to share and frame at home. We’re here to help you choose what fits best.

Only takes less than a minute to take the photo, editing and printing takes about a day, depending on the backlog of orders! Custom framing takes about 10 working days.
Digital copies are sent within 7 days after taking the photos. However it may take a little longer depending on the backlog of orders! If you haven't received your artwork please double check your spam/junk folder sometimes it goes there.

Yes! Our process is completely safe and non-invasive. We use professional equipment designed for iris photography.

As long as they are normal clear contact lenses, it is fine and causes almost no difference to the final image!

No- just make sure everyone is on time!

Yes, it is possible at any age but we recommend it for children aged 2 or 3 and above, as they need to sit still for a clear capture. In some cases, we may be able to photograph younger children if they are cooperative. They just need to sit still for a few seconds and open their eyes as wide as they can. Sometimes the younger the child the easier it is!

We offer digital images, high-quality prints, acrylic frames and customised framed artwork, perfect for display or as a unique gift.

Yes! We can do pets as well!

We don’t use AI to create fake or generated iris photos. Every artwork is made from a real, high-resolution photo of your actual iris, then edited by hand and enhanced for the best final result.

Our Digital Images can generally be printed up to A1 size without losing any detail.

We can create a piece with 1 to 10 irises in one frame. For larger families or groups, we can discuss custom designs.
